School Vacation

I finally get some time to paint from the photos and sketches I took/did on my Lake Placid trip at the beginning of the month.

Every week, I drive my daughter to her skating lesson at 8:15 and at 8:00 am I pass this beautiful reflection on the pond off the highway. I notice it every time. Finally got to paint it.

Four Below Zero

OK, I just got back from Lake Placid where it was four below, now it doesn't seem so cold here. Now I really want to paint snow. Here's one, more to come.

Florida is getting cold now. The air seems visibly thinner, dryer.

Back Yard

Different times of day, different light, different colors. Makes it a new scene each time and I never have to leave my porch! This is good since I haven't had much time to travel lately. Flying to Baltimore tonight, maybe I'll get some good reference.
